AlHamra Hotel

I booked this small, cozy boutique hotel at the last minute and ended up having an extremely pleasant stay. The staff were remarkably hospitable, and the room was clean and comfortable, with fresh bedsheets and towels. The location is excellent, the street is clean, and there is a restaurant with many choices on the premises. Next door, nayaab haandi serves excellent Pakistani food. A cafeteria for snacks and tea and a grocery store are also around the corner. A little gem in Sharjah.

The friendly staff and convenient location make Al Hamra Hotel a nice place overall. My biggest problem was the room key repeatedly failing, which meant several inconvenient trips back to reception. Cleanliness also needs attention, particularly around the swimming pool and with the towels. Better maintenance and cleaning would make the stay much smoother and more pleasant.

After a long and exhausting day of travel, we were left waiting in the lobby while the unprofessional receptionists struggled to find our reservation. Once we finally received the keys, there was a horrible smell throughout the hallways and inside the rooms. The sockets also seemed outdated and unsafe, and my phone charger exploded as soon as I plugged it in. Our experience at Al Hamra Hotel was very negative, and I don't recommend staying here.

This place should not be called a hotel. The property was dirty and had only 12 parking spaces for the entire hotel, so I was left without parking in the middle of the night. When I didn't feel comfortable handing my car keys to the parking employee, he told me to leave if I wouldn't give them to him. Staff shouted at me and repeatedly knocked on my door from 6am till 9am, showing zero respect for how tired a guest might be. They even charged 10 dirham to reheat a small sandwich for 5 seconds in the microwave. Never again. Save your money and choose somewhere better. The picture shows visitors packed together and crowded while trying to find a parking spot.
