My stay at Basma Residence, Sharjah was far below reasonable hospitality standards. I was there with my employees, and although we had already told the afternoon front desk staff that we would cook and eat together one evening, we kept receiving calls asking when the visitor would leave. This created unnecessary stress. Things became worse during the night shift. The staff member I approached at reception was dismissive, unprofessional, and unwilling to listen, while the other employees nearby did not help. I paid for an additional guest, but that still did not completely settle the matter. Visitor rules should have been explained at check-in, and being repeatedly asked to pay in cash was uncomfortable. There were practical problems as well. No kitchen vessels were supplied, towel delivery was late and incomplete, and Wi-Fi was unavailable in the room. I travel internationally often, and this experience was well below standard. Management needs to improve staff training, communication, and guest service.

The location of City cafe is perfect. I was welcomed warmly and professionally, and the service was excellent. The staff member who looked after us was attentive, friendly, and went out of his way to meet our needs, which made the meal especially enjoyable. ❤️❤️❤️😍😍😍🤩🤩🤩♥️♥️♥️💖💖💖💓💓💓👍👍👍👍

Basma is a place I really enjoy staying at. I’m from Iraq, and I like the clean, pleasant rooms, the convenient location, and the very large parking area.
