The Dunes Camping & Safari RAK

This is a peaceful, attractive place for a desert escape, with cozy, well-kept rooms that make it easy to unwind. We were there for a music festival, so we didn’t try the food. Even so, the setting felt especially suitable for couples or families wanting a quiet staycation away from the city. I’d recommend it for a relaxed desert break.

Although the small site looks nice and our room had an enjoyable view, the stay was extremely disappointing. The food was among the worst we’ve had, despite not being picky eaters. We could not enjoy any of the breakfast or dinner dishes, and none of the staff knew English, even at a basic level. In general, everything felt like the lowest quality. We were promised entertainment, but it only lasted from 6 pm to 8 pm. After that, the place felt closed, with no activities or atmosphere, so we spent the rest of the evening in the room. For the price, it seemed we had paid just to sleep somewhere. Dunes Camping Area is too small and offers too little to do, so we would not recommend it in Ras Al Khaimah.

The room was even better than I expected, spotless, comfortable, and peaceful. It made the stay feel like a proper getaway. My birthday celebration at Dunes was just as memorable, with a beautiful setup, warm staff, and thoughtful attention to the little details. Everything was handled with care and the atmosphere was wonderful. Thank you to the team for making the occasion special. I’d gladly return and recommend the place for its good service and relaxing energy.

The evening safari was quite adventurous, and the driver did a very good job. Afterward, there was a show while we waited for dinner. We were the only local people there, which made me feel a little alienated, and I left before the meal. Even with that, the experience overall was pleasant.
