The reception and beach bar teams were consistently kind, professional, and helpful, which is the strongest part of the place. Unfortunately, the rooms are not. In standard suite 301, the toilet window was open and the room was extremely hot. The bedroom AC was an old, very noisy unit above the bed, and after a nap the room became difficult to breathe in because of sewage odor. The open window made me think management already knew about the smell. We moved to standard suite 303, but it was little better. The AC was still noisy and ran constantly, and the sewage smell remained. The furniture was badly worn, the only bedside socket was used by the lamp, the hairdryer overheated dangerously, the sofa had cuts and burns, the fridge did not cool, and there was a disgusting stain beneath the bathroom sink. The mattress and pillows were also extremely uncomfortable. UPDATE: in response to the owner, our discounted rate comes from the Emirates Platinum we own, not a courtesy. We had stayed in 301 before and reported problems at reception without follow-up. We were told it had been renovated, although almost nothing seemed different. We also had a bad experience in beach villa 75, reported both to reception and on the post-stay form, again without follow-up. This has happened with other reported issues too. We still try to enjoy the good parts, but the beach villas and standard suites do not justify their prices. We hope to return and see the promised improvements.

The beach is very nice and the pool is fine. Mr. Suman at the beach bar deserves special thanks for being such a great guy, and Mr. Ahmad / maintenence was very helpful. The neighboring Lebanese restaurant may not belong to the resort, and I would stick to ordering from the menu because the customized grills by 1/2 kg or so are not real. I don’t see a problem with day pass visitors, since they bring some life while the peaceful atmosphere and privacy remain. Management could still improve its mindset, finish the construction, update the AC units, and tidy the grass. With relatively little investment, the resort could earn more stars, especially since the suite prices are not cheap. I wish them well.

Our previous visits to Lumi Beach on a day pass were enjoyable, but staying overnight at this pet-friendly “hotel” was a completely different experience. The property is outdated, poorly maintained, and the rooms had bad odors and very poor finishes. The apartments are large, but not worth the money, especially at 900 on weekends compared with 450 on weekdays. The dog cost 100 Aed extra, and the extra bed was 160, with a 50% discount for the nanny. The fridge was old, dirty, smelled bad, made a lot of noise, and did not cool properly. Customer service was 3/5, cleanliness 1.5 /5, and value 1/5. I will not book again, though I may return for beach access. The lower ground units also need full maintenance.

The smooth sandy beach was very clean and had no corals. Parking was also conveniently close to the rooms. We found the stay cozy and comfortable, and the restaurant food was excellent. Thanks to Delshan for the wonderful hospitality.

This place is wonderful for people traveling with dogs. The sandy beach is beautiful, the rooms are spacious and comfortable, and the breakfast buffet is very good. It’s a great choice when you want to relax with your furry companion.
