Heritage Hotel

Heritage Hotel gave me a very pleasant stay in Antigua. The room was spacious, clean, and well maintained, with a comfortable bed and everything I needed. Housekeeping kept it fresh and tidy each day. I also liked the hotel's relaxing Caribbean character and peaceful atmosphere. Its location made things easy, with shops, restaurants, and local attractions nearby. After exploring the island, it was a comfortable place to unwind. The staff made the biggest impression. They were welcoming from check-in, polite throughout, and always willing to help with questions or recommendations. I'd definitely recommend Heritage Hotel to anyone visiting Antigua.

The room itself was large enough, but the price was ridiculous. I was quoted one amount when I reserved and told breakfast would be complimentary, yet I ended up paying for breakfast and was charged an additional tourism fee at checkout. The toilet smelled like urine, as if it wasn't properly cleaned, and there were so many ants that we bought bop to spray them. Large rats were also outside when we came in at night. This is the Caribbean, so the place should be sprayed for pests. I don't think I'll stay here again or recommend the hotel.

The receptionist was very nice, and the staff were friendly, but staying in the room was impossible. The air conditioning was running without making any difference, so it stayed unbearably hot and humid and I couldn't sleep. There was also a strange smell. The room was dirty, and everything was either broken or in poor condition. This is one of the worst hotels I've stayed in.

We booked through Booking a month ahead and received many confirmation emails, but when we arrived directly from the airport at 6pm, we were told our room had been given away. They sent us to a shady two star hotel in a casino, which we passed because of the atmosphere outside. By 7pm we were stranded in Antigua, where finding another hotel was extremely difficult.
