Edwards Inn

Edward’s Inn is in a superb spot, directly across from the beach. Our room was comfortable and cleaned every day, while the hosts were kind, welcoming, and available whenever we needed help. We couldn't recommend this inn more.

We stayed for a month and had no problems. The staff were friendly and helpful, the rooms were very clean, and the beds were comfortable. The beach is about 50 meters away, and the water there is very calm with no big surf. Edward Inn is in Sandy Ground village, surrounded by local residents and businesses, so a rooster may wake you up and you might see the occasional goat. Everyone was very friendly. The building is dated, although improvements are being made all the time.

Ann, thanks for bringing Layla. This hidden spot in Sandy Grounds was wonderfully quiet and away from the noise. Who needs a five-star hotel with a place like this?

The laid-back atmosphere and the friendliness of both locals and guests were exactly what I liked here, and I actually wished I'd stayed longer. This isn't a polished or exclusive place, the family-run property is a little worn around the edges, but it was clean and welcoming. It brought back memories of staying in hostels in Costa Rica. The beach is right across the street, with several bars and restaurants, so it's a good fit if you mainly want swimming, drinks, and beach time. Exploring beyond that requires a car, and they rent those too. Mine looked like it had survived hurricane Irma and was a bit battered, but it ran well, which made the rough roads less stressful. Ann, the owner's mother and a former carnival Queen, was unforgettable.
