Villa Champagne Shores

Candis and Peter made Champagne Shores feel like home, and we honestly wished we could have taken them back with us. The villa itself is fantastic, with air conditioning throughout the entire house, not just the bedrooms. That was especially welcome while Chef Kylon and Frankie were preparing all the meals. Chef Kylon recommended the villa to us, and we'd choose it again without hesitation. The host was wonderful to work with, and our family is already looking forward to making this a yearly tradition in Anguilla.

The view from the pool and nearly every room, apart from the downstairs bedroom, was beautiful, with St Maarten in the distance. The grounds were kept in great shape, and Anna Rose was amazing, cleaning up after our two boys and handling the laundry while she was on-site most of the day. Enrique from Properties in Paradise was always checking in and making sure things went well. Aline helped arrange Chef Kylon, Calypso Charters, groceries, and even a nurse to come to the villa for COVID tests before we flew home. Chris communicated well from the booking onward, and check-in and check-out were smooth. The road from the main highway is bumpy, but that's pretty normal for the island. We'd happily return.

We had major problems with the bill that were never resolved. In US dollars, we were charged 100 for a bottle of soy sauce, 48 for a brownie, and 400 for turkey we never ate. The house manager was a real disappointment, and the property clearly has some deferred maintenance. I'd strongly suggest doing your own grocery shopping.
