Nobody asked me to write this review, and it’s the only one I’m leaving from my two weeks in Albania. Hotels and restaurants there do often ask guests to review them on Google Maps, so I wanted to mention this is entirely voluntary. We stayed here in May before hiking to Theth and fell in love with the guesthouse, its people, and the Valbone valley. Come for fresh homemade farm food, kind and flexible hospitality, comfortable beds, hot showers, good conversations after dinner, and the peace and quiet.

This was one of our best travel experiences, and we’d recommend the place to anyone. The spacious rooms had great mountain views, and the homemade meals were delicious with lots of variety. They also packed lunches for our hiking days. The two brothers and their sister looked after us so well, helping us plan outings and making sure our stay was memorable. We enjoyed chatting with them at the bar in the evenings, and one brother even drove us to the start of the Theth trail. Thanks for such a great time!

After the hike from Theth, Laser picked us up for 30 euros and drove us to the guesthouse. We had a wonderful dinner made with ingredients from their garden, cooked by his wife and served by his sons. Laser and his family were amazing hosts. Definitely recommend staying here!

The views were memorable and the homemade food was excellent. We stayed before hiking to Theth, and the hosts were incredibly friendly once we got chatting. My only regret is not staying longer, like some of the other guests. I’d recommend this guesthouse to everyone.
