Guest House Pashollari

The guest house had a cozy, beautiful summer in italy feel, with grapevines and a lovely view. A cute cat even came over to say hello. The rooms were clean and the complimentary breakfast tasted good. WiFi was a little weak in our room, but it was still fine.

The owner was pleasant, spoke Italian, and served a great breakfast. The views were also beautiful, but there were several problems. His dog had a terrible eye infection, and seeing the animal upset me so much that I couldn't bear to stay. The poor dog seemed likely to go blind and needed urgent treatment. At night, the valley was very noisy, with dogs barking continuously. The rooms were basic and had no views. There was nowhere comfortable to sit and no drinks available at the guesthouse. The climb from the city center takes about 10 minutes up the stairs, but the view of the castle from bed makes it worthwhile. The garden is lovely, the beds were comfortable, and everything was clean. There is also a fridge and a shared area with tables. We requested a vegetarian breakfast, which included an omelette, bread, two pieces of cheese, tomato, cucumber, fig jam, and juice. You can reach the house on foot, and the hilltop setting has an amazing view.

The guest house sits high above town, opposite the castle, and it’s only about a six-minute walk down to the center. The owner-manager is charming, and the setting feels pleasantly rural. The rooms are pretty Spartan, and the towels don’t absorb much, but the real problem was the dogs barking through the night and competing across the canyon. Without that noise, I’d suggest it to budget travelers. Couples looking for something romantic may prefer accommodation across the river, where the barking seems less likely.
