We found this wonderful little restaurant in an alleyway while exploring the ruins of Berat with my family. The veranda has an extremely beautiful view, and Nina and her family welcomed us with very friendly faces and warm temperaments. They even gave us complimentary coffee and rika. Everything was fresh and homecooked, with traditional Albanian food prepared perfectly. We had Ferges, Salad, French Fries, Vienez, Meat Balls, Byrek, which I highly recommend, and Petulla. If you’re visiting the ruins, this delightful veranda restaurant is well worth finding.

Cooking three wonderful dishes with Mama Nina was a fantastic way to meet such friendly people in Berat. Her expertise made the evening really special, and Miguel was an amazing translator for us. I can highly recommend the experience. Thanks to you all.

The cool breeze and stunning view from the guest house on top of the mountain created a very relaxed setting for our cooking class. Starting at 05.00pm, Michel and Nina helped us prepare and enjoy a typical Albanian dinner, along with local wine and raki. We also enjoyed climbing back down the hill afterward.

Mina and her family were so kind and wholesome, and they even treated us to complimentary coffee and rika spirit. The food was made fresh from scratch for us, like a delicious family meal, and it felt genuinely Albanian. The views were beautiful too. We stopped at this quaint restaurant and left with full hearts and full bellies. It’s worth exploring the castle to find this hidden gem.

What stood out most was the homely, open atmosphere created by the staff. The food, views, and prices were all amazing too. I can’t recommend it enough, it’s my favorite restaurant in Berat.
