Belagrita Hotel

The swimming pool was closed in August, and the buffet was shockingly poor, with stale bread. The bathroom flooded when I tried to shower because there was no hot water and the central drain was clogged. The hotel itself felt isolated and poorly connected to the city centre, with shoddy details such as a broken toilet seat and unfinished work.

The room itself was acceptable, but ours faced an industrial area and the noise late at night forced us to keep the windows shut. Service was the main problem. A receptionist handed our room key to other guests and never apologized. Breakfast was supposed to begin at 7, yet started about 15 minutes late each time, despite staff knowing we were a large group. After waiting in a long line, little food remained and nobody replenished it. I’ll avoid this hotel in future.

The room was large, clean, and seemed well maintained, although it had very little decoration. That was quite a contrast with the shared areas, which were packed with gold details and kitsch decor. The hotel was clean and easy to access, though the gas station entrance had a US roadside style that felt too gaudy for my taste.

We were treated wonderfully at this lovely hotel in a beautiful part of the world. The breakfast stood out for both its outstanding quality and huge quantity, enough that I’ll remember it for a long time. I can’t wait to stay here again.
