The guesthouse sits within the walls of the Berat castle, overlooking an amazing view of the valley and city bellow. The hosts helped us with anything we needed. The rooms were simple but had everything necessary, with restaurants nearby and parking adjacent. Greatly recommended.

It’s even more beautiful than the pictures suggest. The family were friendly and answered all our questions about what to do. The clean, comfortable room came with a good breakfast, including homemade warm bread and local cheese. Before we arrived, they were available by WhatsApp and sent a helpful photo showing where to park.

The castle offered the most beautiful view over Berat, and the rooms were great. We had the best time, helped by a host who was exceptionally kind and friendly.

Albi and his family made us feel very welcome and were helpful throughout our stay. Our family room had comfortable beds, AC, and a private bathroom, while the terrace was a lovely place to have a drink and watch the sunset over the town. The small road on the castle grounds is tricky to follow on Goggle maps, but it lets you park directly outside KRIS Guest House.

The rustic rooms inside the castle, with their thoughtful facilities, made it feel like we had stepped back centuries. The family running the guesthouse were extraordinarily friendly, and breakfast was delicious and included. Simply superb, a must-stay in the Berat area.
