Osumi Hotel

This is a quality place in the old town, right beside the mountainside and the cobbled lanes. The hosts are lovely, the shower has hot water and decent pressure, and breakfast is great. Parking directly outside is limited because of the old-town setting. Instead, the hotel arranges a space about 5-10 minutes away on foot and helps organise payment.

Despite being beside the Bachelor Mosque and at the main bridge, the street-facing room was surprisingly quiet at night. The polished floors, attractive decoration, and working AC all made the room pleasant, while the bathroom was spotless and had no problems with the toilet or hot water. There is some kind of gallery on the first floor, with breakfast served downstairs in the basement. The meal was freshly prepared, and the lady kindly topped up my water bottle. It feels like a very well-run place.

A lovely family runs this traditional Berat property, where modern comforts sit inside beautiful old stone walls. The rooms were cozy, quiet, clean, and comfortable, and historic sights, shops, and restaurants are only a few steps away. Free parking was a helpful extra. Our only regret was having to leave so soon. We hope to come back.

The location is excellent, right beside the 1000 windows view point, and the owners were happy to help with anything. Since we didn't have a parking space, the owner drove our car to a private lot for 2€ and returned it the following morning. Breakfast felt homemade and was prepared just for us, including chocolate milk for the children. A very authentic and welcoming place.
