Dardha Hotel

The location is good, the rooms are okay, and the staff is welcoming. Breakfast was a major disappointment, though. We arrived 30 minutes before closing and found nothing left, and there was no variety at all.

The beautiful mountain scenery, great food, and top-tier service were the highlights. The rooms feel a little dated and could use an upgrade, but the hospitality and views still made it a solid stay.

The restaurant was the worst part of this stay. Our dinner order was incomplete, the waiter blamed the chef, and the meatballs were undercooked, which is dangerous. Oresti brought the plates one at a time with long gaps, then left them at the far end of the table. He was also serving breakfast, where the reception had told us service lasted until 10:30, and we arrived at 10:05. His arrogance that morning was completely unnecessary. There was barely anything available, just three small pieces of sausage, plenty of cucumber, and two pancakes. When I asked about eggs, he looked me in the eyes and said, “there are no eggs.” I’ve never seen a hotel without eggs. The room cost 105 euros and was only somewhat okay. The temperature was relatively comfortable, but the door creaked all night, so we had to wedge a slipper between the door and frame. Sound insulation was almost nonexistent, and I could hear music from the neighboring room’s phone while I was in the bathroom. I was ready to write this review in front of the staff, but the Wi-Fi wasn’t working. I don’t recommend this place, because these incompetent people ruined our vacation while pretending to run a tourism business.

The staff are incredibly kind, the food tastes like grandma’s cooking, and the views are amazing. It’s a super cozy place where you can spend a weekend and forget everything outside the hotel. That’s exactly what you’d expect from a long-standing hotel in a fairly remote village. The drive can be a bit risky because of the narrow roads and other drivers, but getting there is worth it.
