A small, cozy room in the heart of the old town, with calm and quiet surroundings. Parking was easy on a small side street. The bed was old and too soft, but breakfast was filling, and the doughnut/pancakes with fresh jam were delicious. What really made it was the very friendly family. We were greeted with big smiles and left with a hug. We visited in February, so I can’t speak to the summer crowds, but it worked well for a short February stay.

Kore Guest House made us feel incredibly welcome in Gjirokastra. The hospitality was a true 11/10, the best I’ve experienced. My room was lovely and comfortable, a great place to rest. It’s also ideally placed, just a short walk from the beautiful old town and the castle.

Breakfast on the terrace, looking out at the stunning mountains, was a real highlight, and the food was honestly incredible. The rooms are cute, clean, and comfortable. The owner is lovely and helpful, with recommendations around town and tips on which tourist traps to avoid. Seriously, this is a ten star guest house. I couldn’t recommend it enough.

Matilda’s mom made us a freshly prepared, absolutely delicious breakfast, served on the terrace with a beautiful view. Matilda was so welcoming, came to meet us when we got lost, helped with our bags, and made us feel right at home. Her husband kindly guided us too. The guest house is well placed for exploring Gjirokastër’s old town. Our one-night stay was clean and comfortable, with genuine hospitality throughout. Highly recommended!
