It felt like home while we were travelling. The woman was very welcoming and focused on good service, even though she doesn’t actually speak English 😄. A very nice place, we highly recommend it.

Breakfast on the terrace was a lovely start to each morning. There were local cheeses, homemade jams, fresh bread, olives, and eggs made to order, all fresh and full of flavor. The staff took great care of us. After wandering the cobbled streets, it was so relaxing to come back to a quiet, cozy room. It was spacious and spotless, tastefully mixing traditional details with modern comfort, and the bed was incredibly comfortable with fresh, luxurious-feeling linens. The highlight was watching the sunset from our balcony. Our room had a breathtaking panoramic view of the stone rooftops, historic castle, and valley below. We had a wonderful stay at this charming hotel in the heart of Gjirokastër. If you want peace, great views, real comfort, and a delicious authentic breakfast, this is a perfect choice.

The hotel is a great base for exploring Gjirokastër, with the castle, bazaar, and Ethnographic Museum all a short walk away. Whether you’re here for the culture and architecture or just a quiet getaway, it puts you close to the city’s historic stone houses and cobbled streets. The rooms were spacious, clean, and thoughtfully decorated with wooden details, plus lovely views of the old town or surrounding mountains. Staff were welcoming and full of suggestions for sights, restaurants, and hidden gems. Breakfast was fresh and homemade, served in a peaceful courtyard with local treats like jams and honey from the region. The place blends traditional charm with modern comfort. Highly recommended if you want to experience the warmth and authenticity of southern Albania.

Everything was impressively clean at Porta 7 hotel, including the tidy, well-kept common areas. I appreciated the attention to detail and would definitely recommend it.
