Hotel Venezia

Linda was incredibly helpful with every request and seemed to run the whole place with a lot of hard work and a heart of gold. The hotel is basic and unpretentious in the rooms, but the service is excellent, and the breakfast buffet was better than at some much more well-known hotels I have stayed in. It is directly across from the beach and very inexpensive for a short, genuine summer holiday. A real hidden gem, absolutely recommended.

There is a very good restaurant and a bar on the ground floor, and the beach is just across the road. Reception is around the back and is not staffed all the time, which can be a little unusual. There are also no lifts, so that is worth keeping in mind. Even with those quirks, this was a great find.

The sea view from our room was excellent, and the hotel is only about 50 metres from the water, with its own restaurant even closer. The food there was the most delicious nearby, and the breakfast and service were both great. Air conditioning, nearly daily fresh towels, and a TV were especially useful to us during Euro 2024. WiFi helped with work and private matters, though it sometimes disappeared, as did the connection from an Albanian SIM card. The rooms are slightly old-fashioned and have limited storage, but the beds were very comfortable. That was more than enough for us to consider this family hotel one of the best in the region. I hope they get all the tourists they deserve.

We stayed for a few nights outside the season and were apparently the only guests. The lady still gave us wonderful service and a great breakfast, which was a lovely way to begin each day. The hotel is close to the sea. The furniture is not particularly modern, but the rooms were clean.
