Marbella Beach Hotel

The reality fell far short of the impressive photos. The hotel was very small, the pool was tiny and crowded with families and children, and cleanliness was poor throughout. Our room felt old and dirty. The beds looked worn, the toilet was blocked, and shower water overflowed onto the floor. The shower area itself was not clean either. Food and drinks were also very poor. The coffee machine was dirty and full of old grounds instead of fresh beans, the wine didn’t seem freshly opened, and some drinks tasted off. Even the breakfast included beer, which was strange and unappealing. The atmosphere was chaotic rather than relaxing, and the photos didn’t show the hotel’s actual condition. We felt misled and found the whole experience very disappointing.

The food selection was huge, so it’s hard to imagine someone finding nothing they liked. The hotel personal worked very hard and seemed willing to do anything to keep guests happy. Our room and the pool were very clean, and the beach was just a 1 minute walk away. The cleaning lady even washed some clothes for us.

Our sea and pool view balcony was a lovely part of the clean, comfortable room. Check-in was quick, and the fantastic staff made us feel at home straight away. The location and service were great, the food was delicious, especially the fish, and the whole place was relaxing. I’d 100% stay again.

This is a small, welcoming hotel in the quieter part of Golem, though shops, restaurants, and pharmacies are only minutes away. The large room had a mini-fridge, a good shower, and a sea-facing balcony. The pool, lobby, and restaurant were clean, and the daytime food was limited but fresh and tasty. Everyone praised the sea bass. When I told the manager in the morning that my toilet seat was broken, it was repaired that afternoon. There were a few small issues, such as shower gel not being replenished and having to ask for water on arrival. The three pet tortoises around the plants were a fun touch. I’d stay again without hesitation.
