Augustus Hotel

I enjoyed the hotel itself and was generally happy with the services, but the booking situation was disappointing. The sea view room I had reserved months earlier was unavailable when I arrived because of a reported reservation issue. I was offered a lower category room or another hotel, and stayed one night in the alternative room after being asked to cancel my original Booking.com reservation. There was a discount, but it was basically equal to the Booking.com commission, so the hotel likely received the same amount for a less valuable room. I suspect the sea view room may have gone to another guest, possibly at a higher rate, although I can understand that possibility from a business perspective. It still didn’t feel fair to someone who booked so far in advance. The hotel should have told me before arrival, ideally by phone. Better communication and more transparent booking would have made a big difference.

We stayed here in June 2025 while attending the Kala Music festival in June. The hotel was bright, airy, very clean, and the staff were all wonderful. They couldn't do enough to please us during our stay. We never made it up in time to try the breakfasts, so I can’t comment on those. I’d definitely recommend this hotel if your thinking of staying in Dhermi, and I would stay again.

The peaceful setting and beautiful views near the sea make Hotel Augustus a great choice for a relaxing family vacation. We’ve returned for many years in a row, and the food remains delicious, with fresh ingredients and plenty of variety. Everything is always spotless and well-maintained, and the warm staff are ready to assist. Highly recommended for a high-quality stay in Dhërmi.

Breakfast was really nice, and the beach is only a short walk away. Since the hotel sits higher up the hill, there’s also a lovely view over the water. The staff were the friendliest I’ve ever come across at a hotel, always kind and very attentive. I’d especially recommend it for solo travel because it feels like home.
