Folie Marine Beach Hotel & Club

We had a romantic dinner at Prive, and Mateo helped make the evening go very smoothly. He was professional, polite, and very helpful. The place has a romantic atmosphere and great Asian style cuisine, with a professional and courteous team.

The rooms were gorgeous, the staff were lovely, and we had an amazing stay. Breakfast was excellent, and the beach club beds are included.

We chose Folie Marine Beach Hotel & Club in Jale for our wedding anniversary, and the setting made the trip feel unreal. The turquoise water, private beach, and views in every direction were breathtaking. Waking up to the waves and having coffee over the Ionian Sea was unforgettable. The hotel is chic, elegant, and extremely clean, with luxurious rooms and sea-facing balconies. The pool, beach beds, beach club, and dining options were all excellent. We especially enjoyed the fresh, flavorful food at the on-site restaurants, whether we were having dinner by the water or cocktails at sunset. The staff made the biggest difference. Everyone we met was warm, attentive, and genuinely caring, so we felt special throughout the stay. Folie Marine is the kind of place where time seems to slow down. We left feeling refreshed and spoiled, and already wanting to return. Highly recommended for a romantic getaway.

The 5-star label didn’t match the reality here. The rooms felt decades out of date, and much of the furniture was stained and worn, making the space seem neglected and unhygienic. Basic housekeeping was missing too. For three days, the room’s bins stayed full, and a hotel soap bottle remained on the floor without being picked up. The breakfast buffet, advertised for 8:00 AM, was never ready on time, with no explanation or apology. Communication was also difficult because several staff members didn’t speak English. This hotel missed even basic expectations for cleanliness, service, and professionalism. Anyone looking for the comfort and hospitality of a luxury stay should look elsewhere.
