Hotel Mema

Hotel Mema gave me a lovely base in Himara, with the beach, restaurants, shops, and local attractions all within a short walk. The peaceful atmosphere was perfect for getting away from everyday noise, while the balcony made a great spot for watching sunsets. The Ionian Sea views were breathtaking, and the hotel itself was spotlessly clean and tastefully decorated. My room was bright, spacious, and equipped with everything I needed. The staff were kind, attentive, and always ready to help with a smile. Their genuine care for guests was clear from the moment I arrived, when I was welcomed with warm Albanian hospitality. I’d happily return, whether for a romantic trip, a family holiday, or some time alone.

Waking up to the sound of the waves was a dream. The hotel is right near the sea, so the views are breathtaking and the atmosphere stays relaxing. Our room was spotless and stylish, and the staff were genuinely welcoming and attentive. I’d strongly recommend it for a seaside escape.

The location is hard to beat, literally about 30sec from the beach, with coffee places, restaurants, and a market all reachable on foot. There’s also a laundry place around 2min away. We rented the balcony room for 8 nights in late May and early June, at the start of the tourism season in Albania. It cost about 320euro/8 nights, which was an extremely good price. The view was gorgeous, the room was clean, comfortable, and spacious enough for 2 people, and the bed was good. The bathroom is small, but it worked very well and was in good condition. Breakfast was pretty good, and everyone working there was kind and available. Honestly, ignore the bad review. I highly recommend this place, 10/10.
