Olives Residence

This is a peaceful place to relax, with a clean pool and a great view of Dhermi. The bar is conveniently close to the pool and rooms. Our room was spotless and got cleaned every couple of days. The property is remote, so a car is needed for the beach and other places, although the beach can be reached on foot in about 30 minutes. It isn’t accessible for wheelchair users or disabled people. My only complaint about the rooms and bar area is that they don’t serve cocktails.

The sea view rooms really do have a great view, and having a pool and bar was a nice bonus. The rooms were a little old-fashioned, but they were clean. The manager and staff were very friendly.

The staff were the strongest part of our three-day stay. They couldn’t have been more helpful, and they fixed or worked around the issues we had. Without them, the problems might have put quite a damper on the holiday. Our apartment was very basic. The air conditioning didn’t work, the fuse blew whenever we used the oven, and one room had been made by enclosing what used to be an outside patio. The door handle came off in our hand, which was amusing, though the door still closed and locked. We also had to call a plumber because one toilet was blocked. The property was easy to find, had plenty of parking, and was close to supermarkets. The pool was really nice. The only other annoyance was inconsistent pool pricing, as we paid different amounts for the same things, though the differences were only about 50 cents rather than a serious overcharge. The area is still developing, so some allowance is needed for a simple apartment.

Everything was kept impeccably clean and in good condition, which made the rooms feel genuinely comfortable. The staff were professional, polite, and available whenever we needed them. Highly recommended.
