Perivolos Apartments

The rooms and the area around them were neat and clean, and the staff deserve plenty of praise for being so kind and helpful. Breakfast isn’t buffet-style, but we received eggs, spreads, homemade dessert, and one drink of our choice, which was perfectly acceptable. The only real drawback is the macadam access road, which can be tricky for first-time visitors, though it will probably be improved soon. Recommended.

The nicest feature was the pool, but the overall stay felt unwelcoming and too expensive for what was offered. The rooms were acceptable yet dated at €110 per night, and breakfast was disappointing and rather stingy. There were only around eight sun loungers, so pool space was limited. Getting there without a car isn’t easy, since the hotel is a long 30-minute walk from town, especially unpleasant in the heat with luggage. When we arrived exhausted and covered in sweat, nobody offered us water. Instead, we got a long explanation of the hotel rules, followed by a reminder that the same rules were posted in the room. There was no water in the fridge either. When I asked, I was told it wasn’t included and could be purchased. Later, during a power cut that stopped the air conditioning, I went for a bottle at about 11pm and the owner seemed irritated that I was awake and asking for it.

The views around this place are unbelievable, and our suite was even better than we expected. The host was genuinely sweet and helpful, while the breakfast was fresh and enjoyable. A gorgeous place to stay.

The balcony looks out across the ocean, and the rooms are spacious and very clean. There’s also a small pool for cooling off, with the beach about a 10-minute walk away and dhermi beach only a 5-minute drive. Service was very good. Breakfast felt too limited for the price, though, and the room had no kettle or coffee facilities. Still, I’d definitely recommend it.
