Sea View Hotel Himare

We arrived in Himare and found the hotel open and clearly hosting plenty of guests, despite receiving a message five days before our arrival saying they could no longer honor our booking because the season was ending in mid Sept. Since the free-cancellation deadline had already passed, we asked them to cancel without a fee through booking.com, but they couldn't do that and the charge still appeared. On the reservation date, they marked us as a no show. We weren't charged eventually, but only after booking.com helped us. The communication was poor throughout, and I wouldn't recommend booking here.

The pool was at a perfect temperature, and the staff were genuinely friendly and welcoming. We stayed for four days from June 05th, with Manager Melissa leading the team very well. Even the cleaning staff taught us some Albanian. We liked the beaches, but Mariachi beach, behind the building across the road and down the path by the gym, was our favourite because it didn't have the nonstop music of the main beaches. A relaxed place with a nice vibe, exactly what we wanted.

We had a wonderful evening at the Sea View Hotel restaurant. The setting was calm, the service was fantastic, and there was a huge wine selection. Our large fresh sea bass was prepared in three ways: half became ceviche with olive oil and lemon, half with ponzu soy ginger, and the rest was grilled. We also ordered salmon tartare and a fantastic salad, all incredibly delicious. We're already looking forward to tomorrow evening.

The balcony view of the Ionian Sea was amazing, and the hotel itself was quiet and serene. Everything was extremely clean, from the rooms and pool to the free breakfast, which were all top notch. The staff were friendly and helpful and seemed ready to meet every need. The location made getting around easy. Beach lounges and towels were free, and they had just opened a beach lounge/bar called Dora. Restaurants and bars were a 2 to 10 minute walk depending on where we wanted to go, with a supermarket directly across the street. I would absolutely suggest Sea View Hotel to my friends. It was worth it, and I only wish we could have stayed longer. Until next time, hopefully sooner rather than later. 🤩
