The beds and linen were good, the staff were nice, and they handled our early check-in well. But NEVER AGAIN. The toilet was broken, as was the shower cabin and its plumbing, along with the bathroom plumbing. The shower water supply was EXTREMELY DANGEROUS, because low cold-water pressure could suddenly mean direct 80 degrees celcius water, leaving you burned and cooked alive. The promised restaurant and bathtub were also missing. Breakfast was horrible, with old dry bread, sausages that tasted toxic, and almost no appealing choices. For a 70 euro stay in such a horrendous room, you expect the money to go somewhere, but it didn’t. Worst breakfast ever.

The breakfast was very modest, and coffee costs extra, which was a big disappointment. Some bathrooms don’t even have a shower, so you wash beside the toilet. In the bathrooms that do have one, water spreads everywhere and your feet will be wet if you use the toilet afterward. There are plenty of other places to choose from. I don’t recommend this one.

The location was disappointing. Booking says 750m from the center, but it’s actually much farther away. Rooms on the last floor can also get very cold because of the large balcony doors. Our room smelled strongly, and the air conditioning wasn’t enough to warm it. Even after we asked, the heater was off most of the time. Breakfast was very, very basic. The most annoying rule was having to leave our room keys at reception every time we went out. I don’t understand why I should have to rely on the receptionist to go in or out. Wouldn’t recommend it.

The rooms were clean and tidy, and the owner made the stay especially enjoyable. He knows so much about Albanie that it was a real pleasure listening to him and using the tips he gave us. We had a great time and will definitely go back if we get the chance.

This works if all you need is somewhere to sleep. The rooms and furniture are quite nice, but the Wi-Fi keeps going on and off, the boiler needs time to heat up, and coffee at breakfast costs extra. Booking.com was a mess for making a reservation, so calling is easier and gives you a chance to negotiate a reasonable price.
