Konti Hotel

Hotel Konti is easy to reach, about a 20-minute walk from central Korçë, and there's plenty of parking by the road. The restaurant has a large dance area and a sound system that spreads the music around without overwhelming people who are eating. Its interior is especially striking, with teal walls, herringbone wooden floors, geometric decorative screens, and elegant ceiling moldings. The food was the highlight for me. I tried traditional dishes, including a beef dish with roasted potatoes, fresh börek, and several salads. Everything was well seasoned, the ingredients seemed good, and the desserts and sauces showed careful preparation. The rooms were adequately equipped, though hot water was unavailable for several hours during my stay. The restrooms near the restaurant also had locks that didn't work. Those maintenance issues aside, the food, atmosphere, and location made the experience positive. I'd recommend it particularly for the restaurant, while keeping those smaller quirks in mind.

The hotel is well organised, with a comfortable territory and an outdoor pool for summer use. Its location is strategic, just a short walk from the old city of Korçë, and the spacious parking felt safe even in a busy city. The staff were welcoming, spoke English, and accepted card payments. My room was small but cosy and stylish, with a terrace facing the mountains. It had the necessary toiletries and two towels, plus two extra warm blankets in the closet. The receptionist also gave me an AC remote so I could keep the room warm. Breakfast was included and more than sufficient, and coffee was available at the bar. The main problem was the WIFI in the room, which kept cutting out, although it worked properly in the restaurant.

The hotel itself was decent and offered good value for money. What was unacceptable was being charged 500 lek per person to use the pool without any warning, either during booking or at check-in. That lack of transparency was a major downside.

The rooms were good, but the aircon didn't work.
