Alda was a thoughtful host who checked in on us and even printed our boarding passes. We first had a downstairs room, then she kindly moved us upstairs to a nicer room with a lovely window and a pomegranate tree outside. The rooms were spacious, air-conditioned, and cleaned daily. The shower had plenty of hot water, and the in-room kettle came in handy. The location also worked well, close to the main attractions, restaurants, a few halal places, and mosques. One small suggestion: net curtains would give more privacy in the rooms with glass doors during the day. We had a lovely stay and recommend it.

The mother and daughter who own the place gave helpful tips on local food and sights. But the rooms were small and sparse, with just a bed, small table, and mini fridge. I expected more space from the photos. We only stayed one night, and I would have booked somewhere else if we needed to stay longer. I had booked after seeing glowing reviews on TripAdvisor and Google, but this was several rooms on the first and second floors of a building on a very narrow street, rather than the boutique hotel I expected. We also felt uneasy leaving our rental car keys with the owner, and because we had an early departure, we had to pick them up from the larger hotel up the street.

The owner was easy to communicate with, offered us a discount when we called the property directly, and kindly let us leave our car until the afternoon on checkout day. Parking was convenient, and the beautiful rooms were just a few steps from the city centre attractions.

The location was perfect, right in the centre and within walking distance of everything. Our room was spotless and the bed was comfortable, but it was the hosts who made this one of the best places I’ve stayed. Aldina and her husband went out of their way to help with car rental and printing our flight tickets. They also offer airport transfers, which is handy in Tirana’s chaotic traffic. Highly recommend.
