SR99 Hotel

I wouldn’t recommend this hotel. The room’s hygiene and general standards were so poor that I couldn’t stay longer than 10 minutes. I went to reception to say I was leaving and ask for a refund. The receptionist was rude and unprofessional. She claimed the bed and bathroom had been used, even though that wasn’t true and I hadn’t used the room at all. When I asked for a fiscal receipt, she refused and mocked me. A shameful experience.

The room was a little small, and the furniture was the only thing that didn’t seem brand new. There was plenty of hot water in the good bathroom, though the shower needed a bit of attention because I think some nozzles were clogged with limescale. The location worked for what I needed and was handy for restaurants and nightlife. It’s a little far from the center, but not too bad. Open 24 hours, with very nice staff.

The standout was the wonderful staff. Thanks to the receptionist for being so helpful and treating me so well. The rooms were clean, and it was a pleasant stay.

I stayed at SR99 hotel for 22 days, and I absolutely don’t recommend it. The bed was comfortable, but the main road outside was very loud at night and disturbed my sleep. The shower was a big problem: water flooded all the way to the toilet and bed. When I raised it with the owner/manager, he said, “you don’t know how to shower. I will shower in your bathroom and show you how to use.” The hallway and our room sometimes smelled of cigarette smoke, and when we complained, we were told, “I can’t tell them to not smoke.” Breakfast was awful. I tried several pastries and they were very hard to eat, with no gluten-free option. When we asked for just fruit and tea in our room, the owner told us, “You get breakfast like a king.” I was very upset. We asked for tea in the room many times, and once there was black dust in mine. The manager, I think, took a long time and argued when replacing it, saying, “the dust is about the tea.” I hadn’t added the tea bag, only honey, so where did it come from? We also had lots of Wi-Fi problems, even though I called before booking to make sure it worked well because I work online. Sometimes it was impossible to connect. Staff were rude to me many times, including the night worker, who seemed more than annoyed about helping us.
