Kroi Hotel

After the apartment we originally booked turned out badly, finding this hotel felt like a lucky break. The location is unbeatable, parking is free, and the modern rooms have gorgeous views. The staff were attentive, the price was good, and we’d happily come back.

Hotel Kroi sits right by the old bazaar and at the foot of the historic Krujë Castle, so stepping outside puts you straight into the town’s history. We could have coffee just below the "House of Skanderbeg" while looking out over the surroundings. The room was spotless and comfortable, with a cozy bed, dependable Wi-Fi, a good shower, and stunning views. Everything we needed was there, and the attention to cleanliness was obvious. What made the stay especially memorable was the staff. They were warm, welcoming, and always ready to help, making us feel at home from start to finish. The mix of comfort, tradition, and genuine Albanian hospitality was wonderful. I’d absolutely stay at Hotel Kroi again and recommend it to anyone visiting Krujë.

The view over the historic town and mountains was spectacular, and it made Hotel Kroi a lovely place to unwind. We arrived as a group and were met with genuine warmth by staff who made sure we had everything we needed. The food was another highlight, fresh, traditional, and packed with flavor. It was a wonderful way to experience Kruja.

This hotel is in a beautiful old neighborhood right at the castle entrance. The rooms were clean and the property well cared for, with pleasant views from the windows and a fairly safe surrounding area. The difficult part is getting there. Cars with manual transmission need an experienced driver and some effort. Parking is either free or costs LEK200 or 2euro, depending on when you collect the car. Breakfast was excellent and enormous. The tray for two could easily feed three, with fried eggs, omelettes, pancakes, cheese, honey, jam, fruit, vegetables, sausages, tortillas, bread, and more. The restaurant also has a beautiful outlook. Our rate was 42.50 euros per night including breakfast, though it came to 45 because the gentleman did not give me the change.
