Ori Mare Hotel

We had a great stay, with a handy location, tasty breakfast, and really nice pools. Just know that a lost room card costs €5, and they don’t tell you in advance. The shower setup also sends water splashing everywhere.

The hill up to the hotel is steep and can be a workout, so I wouldn’t suggest it for older guests or families with young children unless they have a car, taxi, or motorbike. Once there, though, the place is fantastic. The pools are spotless, with enough sunbeds and umbrellas, and breakfast is simple but tasty and filling. It’s close to Ksamil’s busy center but far enough away to escape the bar and traffic noise. The staff are incredibly friendly, and the hotel feels fresh and modern. Rooms are quiet and very clean, with comfortable beds. You can also catch a stunning sunset over Ksamil every day.

The hotel was comfortable and very clean, and the staff were helpful and friendly. We’d bought a birthday cake for a friend but didn’t have a lighter, so I asked someone by the door and explained. He turned out to be the owner. He found us a lighter and even opened a bottle of Greek wine as a gift. We were very happy with the stay, and I definitely recommend it.

Ksamil itself wasn’t the best destination for us, to be honest, but we liked the hotel. It had a nice view, friendly staff, and a decent breakfast that they kept refilling carefully. There’s indoor and outdoor parking. It’s around a 12-minute walk to the beaches, which could feel far for some, but we appreciated the peace and quiet at night. Closer to the beach there are more nightclubs, loud music, and crowds going late.
