The location worked really well, close enough for a short walk to beaches and restaurants, but quiet and restful at night. Villa Finnley is small and cozy, with just a few apartments sharing a very clean pool that often felt like it was ours alone. Our simple room was immaculately clean and had everything we needed: air conditioning, a private bathroom, Wi-Fi, and private parking. It felt like excellent value. The host was warm and friendly, and we absolutely loved our stay. A peaceful, comfortable place in Ksamil with a personal touch, highly recommend.

We chose this hotel because the online reviews everywhere were amazing. But when we arrived, we were taken up the road and put in a room at a different hotel, not the room we had booked and paid for. That hotel had no pool, even though the one we paid for did. The owner kept telling us Vila Finnley wasn’t her hotel and that we had booked hers. That wasn’t true: her number was on the Vila Finnley information sheet, which is how we contacted her. When we raised the issue, the owner came to the door with the property manager on the phone. He screamed at me, called me stupid, and asked if I knew how to read, saying I had booked Vila Malo rather than Vila Finnley. I had shown my Vila Finnley booking confirmation several times. Please bear in mind that I’m a young woman and this was at 10 at night in a foreign country. It seems clear to me that the property was overbooked, and that we were moved and then intimidated into thinking we were wrong so they wouldn’t have to refund us. Being lied to repeatedly and then having hotel guests intimidated like that is disgusting. I’d recommend that nobody stay here or at Vila Malo either.

We came back to Ksamil this year and chose Villa Malo again. We already know the owners well, and they’re so kind and nice. Our room was clean, in a quiet spot, and very inexpensive per night. They made us feel at home, and we like them so much that we’ll choose Villa Malo again next time :)
