Hotel Trifon Kaludhi

Hotel Trifon Kaludhi has the city's most amazing view, day and night, and it is the only hotel near the river with access to it. The location also makes it easy to walk into the city center. Breakfast is fresh and very tasty, with village products and their own 100% bio cheese. They can even give you a full guide to how the cheese is produced. I've stayed many times, and every visit keeps getting better 😁⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

The river and mountain outlook is fantastic, but the room itself was cramped. The shower was poorly designed, with an attachment that couldn't be tilted down and no curtain, so water sprayed everywhere. There was also no drinking water in the room even though the tap water isn't drinkable. Vegetarian breakfast was only bread on the first day, though some fruit was provided on the second day and that was nice.

The balcony breakfast overlooking the river was pleasant, and the clean rooms came with air conditioning and a balcony. The hotel is easy to find, with free but limited parking, and you can reach Permet's center in about 5 minutes by car or 10-15 minutes on foot. It's a reasonable option for a budget traveler or for someone saving money for outdoor activities. Wi-Fi is good, although it can slow down when many guests use it at once. The staff speak very little English, but they're helpful and it was still easy to get along.

The view is amazing, and the place is cheap enough that you can negotiate the price. Parking is safe, and it works for 1-2 nights if you'll be spending the days out. The rooms aren't very big and sadly weren't really clean. I also think the air conditioner hadn't been serviced. The staff don't speak English at all, but they try hard.
