Vila Barbout

The large, comfortable room had lovely views, and nothing seemed too much trouble for the staff. ‘Nixie’ at reception was especially kind, with service that was genuinely next level. This is a fantastic hotel and I would definitely recommend it to anyone visiting the Karpen area.

The starters were good, and the waiter was polite, but the kitchen staff were truly disappointing in both service and attitude. My husband ordered veal fillet, yet the first dish was wrong, and the replacement was chicken covered in creamy sauce. He refused it, so we decided to pay and leave. Then a kitchen staff member came to the table and insisted, "This is beef, not chicken, my friend."

The hotel is in a quiet area with friendly staff and a lovely dining terrace. The beach is clean, has sunbeds for guests, and is pleasant to use. My only real issue was the room light, which couldn't be switched off.

That view is stunning, and the rooms were kept beautifully. I came with my mum and dad, and the place was perfect for families as well as for a retreat or simply clearing your head from life's heavy toll. The service was wonderful, with staff always paying attention. No doubt, a delightful place to visit.
