Awful customer service. I called several times to change my booking and nobody answered. Don’t stay here, they’re the worst.

The price is great, and the parking lot out back is a big plus, especially compared with the parking situation at the city’s apart-hotels. If you’re driving, you’ll be glad you stayed here. It’s clean and well located, and the staff seem friendly enough. The elevator is a little slow, but no big deal. You pay more for the convenience of a proper hotel. With an apartment, you might be told to wait four hours to check in. For me, the choice is obvious.

The hotel and beach staff really go out of their way to help with whatever you need on vacation. We had very good service and a private beach. The building itself is old, but the lobby and restaurant are beautiful and new. The elevator is in top condition, and the hallways are nice. Our room and beds were clean and pleasant, with lots of TV channels in different languages. The bathroom is still old and could be cleaner, but it was good enough for the price, and Durres, Albânia is still developing. Breakfast was okay for vegans and vegetarians, though options were limited. You can take a bus to Dures center nearby, and the beach boulevard is walkable. Highly recommend.

We were a group of 45 traveling by coach after a 12-hour journey, booked for two nights at hotel Mimi Durres. We arrived around 9 pm in the dark, but the streets were too narrow for the bus to reach the hotel. Our guide called when we were nearly there. Instead of warning us that the coach couldn’t get through, the hotel gave us wrong directions. We eventually had to walk the last stretch with heavy luggage, arriving another hour later. There was a noisy wedding at the hotel, so we could hardly hear reception. We were sent to the restaurant for our prearranged supper, but it was cold and there were no drinks, although the arrangement included a glass of wine for everyone. They said the wine ran out after the sixth glass. Nothing else was offered, not even ice or water. There weren’t enough rooms for our group, so some people were sent to another hotel. The most disgusting place I’ve ever visited.
