Nobus Hotel

We chose Nobus for our wedding anniversary after researching hotels with convenient access to both northern and southern Albania. The city center is about 10 minutes away by car or taxi and is worth visiting at night. The sea-view room was spacious and clean, with a view we could have watched all day. The hotel, especially the bar and infinity pool, has spectacular views. Restaurant and bar staff were warm, friendly, well presented, and enjoyable to talk with. Unfortunately, the two women at the front desk were unwelcoming and rude. We expected a warm arrival, useful travel information, and a pleasant checkout, but dealing with them was awful. That kept Nobus from receiving five stars. Gucci, the caddy driver who takes guests to the car and beach, was fantastic, energetic, and incredibly cheerful. I hope Nobus recognizes his work and keeps him. The hotel’s beach arrangement is with a nearby resort, but it’s a pebble beach surrounded by construction. We preferred the idea of finding another place, and there are several within easy walking distance, including an excellent beach across the main street.

The restaurant made the stay special, with delicious and unusual dishes. The service was great, the views were beautiful, and the private pools were a nice touch. I’d come back to this place.

The infinity pool was one of the best parts of our stay at Nobus Hotel. It was spacious and calm, with views over the water toward the mountains, and we spent hours there with cocktails while enjoying the warmth. The sunsets were magical from the pool, terrace, or our room, with the sky turning orange and pink every evening. Nobus sits above the Ionian Sea and has panoramic views that made the setting breathtaking. The staff’s kindness also made the visit memorable. Piero was especially attentive and welcoming from the moment we arrived, while the whole team was thoughtful and friendly. It isn’t the cheapest place in the region, but for the setting, service, and quality, the money felt well spent. For a peaceful, stylish retreat on the Albanian Riviera, Nobus Hotel is a must.

The hotel was very quiet, with no traffic or other noise around it, and the balcony and pool were both enjoyable. Our room was very clean, and the service made us feel comfortable. Breakfast was excellent, with lots of food to choose from, although the same couldn’t be said about the evening restaurant. The spa wasn’t particularly enjoyable, so don’t expect anything special there. I’d especially recommend the hotel to couples looking for a romantic and peaceful holiday.
