Almar Boutique Hotel

The location worked well if you have a car, there was a free parking spot, and the internet was okay. We stayed for five days and were accommodated within the check-in time, but I didn’t think the apartment had been cleaned properly. I found fake eyelashes in the bathroom and on the bed from previous visitors, which was quite disgusting, as well as someone else’s hair on the floor and in the shower. At first, I thought it was a good deal because the apartment was spacious and had a kitchenette, but it didn’t offer much. There was no coffee machine or washer, and the amenities weren’t very useful. The cutlery and dishes were basic and scarce, with too few cups for three people and no proper glasses. There were no chairs or dining table, and the bathroom had nowhere to put or hang shampoo, soap, or other toiletries, which made bathing unpleasant. We also had no hot water in the mornings and sometimes in the evenings, so we had to shower cold.

This is an apartment-style boutique hotel. We stayed on the top level, which I believe is the largest apartment. A young woman runs it with her parents. They’re very nice, always smiling, and Cristina is helpful and available 24/7. The first beach is about a 10-minute walk from the hotel. If you have a car, the location is between Ksamil and Sarande, making it easy to get to the beaches in Ksamil and enjoy Sarande in the evening. I’d definitely recommend this lovely family hotel.

We meant to stay one night and ended up here for eight days. The owners make this family-run boutique hotel feel especially welcoming. It’s a handy base, about 2 km from Saranda and 9 km from Ksamil, with beaches nearby and a good spot to relax and enjoy the nightlife. The place is new and kept spotless. Our room was huge, with a kitchen, and some rooms have three balconies. Breakfast is made by the grandmother: not a lot of choice, but fresh and delicious. If I could, I’d give it ten stars.

We had booked a four-day stay, and everything seemed fine until the second morning. Then we were told we had to leave our room because another reservation had been made for a longer stay.
