Hotel Apollon Saranda

Please read every booking condition carefully before confirming. Once it’s confirmed, it seems you can’t change anything, and they’ll charge you without being willing to refund or adjust it. This was one of the most frustrating hotel experiences I’ve had. Hotel Apollon Sarande came across as dishonest and unprofessional. What they told me before and after booking didn’t match what happened. Less than a day after booking, I noticed a 50% charge applied immediately, which I hadn’t been properly warned about. I contacted booking(.com) right away because I’d selected the wrong date and room type, and they contacted the hotel for me. The hotel initially said cancellation wasn’t possible under any circumstances, but said changes to the date and room type could be made. I submitted the request as they advised, and it was rejected. After I contacted booking(.com) again, they confirmed the hotel had agreed to changes. We tried once more, asking only to change the date, but that was rejected too. The hotel then said it wouldn’t allow any changes, now or later. I spent hours contacting booking(.com) and trying to sort this out. The hotel remained unhelpful and, in my view, dishonest. It felt like they were dragging things out until it was too late to resolve anything, so they could keep the money. I strongly believe Hotel Apollon Sarande should be blacklisted from the platform. They changed their position, didn’t help, and left me feeling trapped by a non-refundable booking.

The people here really made my vacation better. From the cleaners to the waiters, everyone was wonderful, especially Brate Erind. Thanks again for creating such a lovely atmosphere. The hotel itself has a great location, good rooms, a nice feel, and tasty food. Breakfast doesn’t have a huge selection, but that wasn’t a big deal. I rarely post Google reviews, but this one felt deserved.

Erind in the restaurant was a standout. He’s engaging, makes sure guests are happy, and nothing seems too difficult for him. When a baby was crying, he even kept it occupied so the parents could get a break. Liam was lovely too, helpful and on the ball. We had a wonderful time. The hotel is lovely, the views are stunning, and its location is great, with restaurants and markets along the street. The dining staff were amazing.

The view was so beautiful, and the location worked well for us. We were surprised and really disappointed to find that hotel guests didn’t get free beach access. Our room was large, clean, and good. Breakfast didn’t meet expectations, though, because there wasn’t much variety.
