Clockwise Gjirokaster

The balcony made the room especially comfortable, with a breeze that kept it cool even when it was extremely hot outside. The rooms were cosy, and breakfast came with a view of the castle. The location has breathtaking views, and the host was responsive to our questions and very hospitable. Highly recommend.

When my partner was sick, the host took an interest in us and did what she could to help. That care was such a blessing, and one of the highlights of our trip. The guesthouse is lovely and clean, the service is impeccable, and the host is so, so kind and helpful. We enjoyed it so much that we’re debating coming back to Gjirokaster just to stay here. I’m recommending it to everyone. Having TV and streaming was great when someone was ill or the weather wasn’t cooperating. You can tell how much care the host has put into the guesthouse. Wonderful, the best guesthouse in Gjirokaster.

Joana went above and beyond for us. Before we arrived, she sent video directions to the guesthouse, which was so helpful and sweet. She sat down with us to talk about the town’s and country’s history, including life under communism, and was really knowledgeable. When I got sick, she brought soup and tea from her own home, kept checking if I needed anything, and even offered to drive me to the hospital. She had great suggestions for sights and places to eat and drink, too. At checkout, she got up at 4am with us, called a taxi, helped us work out which buses to take, and packed a little breakfast for the road. Clockwise Guestrooms was a beautiful, comfortable place to spend time while I was sick. The bed was comfortable, there was a big, cosy extra blanket, the shower was great and hot, and the bathroom was perfect. The decor and all the little details were lovely. There was clearly a lot of care put into the guesthouse. The TV setup was perfect, and the wifi was great. The room was amazing, and the views were incredible, but the host made the place truly special. I’d give it a million stars if I could. Thank you, Joana!

Joana’s beautiful place has the best view, and the rooms are pretty and super clean. She’s a friendly, helpful host, and we had a really wonderful time. We’ll definitely stay at her place again if we visit Gjirokastra :)
