Azure Inn Hotel

It’s a beautiful hotel just off the busy street and close to the beach, with a convenient parking garage underneath. Breakfast was very good, and the service was personal, with staff even asking whether they could prepare something for you.

The view was wonderful, and every sunset made the stay feel special. Reception was good, the people were communicative, and a smiling little boy was always ready to help guests, something I’ll never forget. The internet was slow, including on our last day. We had reserved another day but didn’t end up staying for it, which wasn’t a problem. We had a great time and I recommend the hotel.

The Azure Inn has modern, spacious, well-designed rooms, incredible views, and secure parking, which is rare in Sarandë. The property itself had huge potential, but the reception staff made the stay stressful and unsettling. At check-in, a PIN mistake was followed by a declined payment that my bank said should have gone through. I then used Apple Pay, but while it was processing, the receptionist dismissed me in front of other guests and implied my card wasn’t working. The payment succeeded moments later, yet there was no apology. That evening, the same receptionist shouted at us outside, accused us of disturbing the peace, told me to “go away to hell,” and tried to grab my phone when I started recording. His comment that we would “fix this tomorrow” felt threatening. The next day, a woman in our group was locked out after the female receptionist refused to help once she heard the room number, saying only the maids had the master key. She waited for hours and was let in after the shift changed, making it seem like help had been intentionally withheld because of the earlier conflict. The beautiful design and views couldn’t make up for reception staff who were dismissive, openly hostile, and at times intimidating.

The hotel is exceptionally clean, and the beach is only about a 5-minute walk away. Barbara and Demetri are the BEST, warm and welcoming, and anything you need can simply be asked of them. The service easily deserves five stars, making Azure Hotel Inn one of the top places to stay in Sarandë, Albania.
