Hotel Oasis

The staff were lovely, and we were given a free upgrade to a junior suite. Our room was modern and clean, with plenty of space, a big king-size bed and a large balcony. Check-out was relaxed, with no pressure to hurry. We enjoyed staying at Hotel Oasis and thought it was good value. Getting around has its drawbacks. Sarande promenade is pleasant but busy even near the end of the season, with lots of bars and restaurants and almost impossible parking. The hotel is an easy 25-minute walk away. Access involves going halfway up a very steep ramp. The Google Maps photos I checked before arriving showed steps that are no longer there. There’s a car park at the back, but construction next door and scaffolding currently block access. I’m not sure I’d have wanted to drive up the steep hill and tight bend anyway. There are about six spaces at the front, and finding one can be difficult. The big problem was parking. With no space in the car park, we left our car on the street and were later told we’d received two parking fines. The hotel hadn’t warned us that street parking was an issue, and there were no signs. Breakfast didn’t suit me personally, and we didn’t try the restaurant because you have to book dinner and tell them what you want; there didn’t seem to be a menu. The wet-room bathroom was quite slippery, and we couldn’t get the air-conditioning to work. There was no mini bar as described on Booking.com, and using the safe costs extra.

I loved the female cat at reception and wished I could take her home. The hotel is run by a friendly family, and everyone treated me well. I got a free upgrade, which was a lovely surprise. The place was always clean, and breakfast was included with both sweet and savoury options. My room had an incredible view of the sea and sunset. There’s free parking, and LOST SEASIDE beach bar/club is about a five-minute walk away. A heads-up if you’re a light sleeper like me: nearby cafes and restaurants can be noisy some evenings before 22:00. That’s not the hotel’s fault. I really enjoyed my stay and recommend it, 5/5.

Breakfast had a good range of tasty options, and the staff were welcoming and helpful throughout our stay. We also had a clean, comfortable room with lovely sea views. Oasis Hotel is just steps from the beach and a short walk from the city center. A great place for a relaxing coastal stay, highly recommend.

The team put so much effort into making our stay comfortable, and it really showed. From arrival on, everyone was warm, attentive and friendly, and they handled every detail with care. Nothing seemed like too much trouble. We felt genuinely valued as guests, which is rare. I highly recommend The Oasis for a relaxing, enjoyable getaway. We’ll absolutely come back.
