Blue Sea Apartments

We ended up booking another place at the last minute after a very distressing arrival. The advertised parking was unavailable and the elevator was out of order, leaving us to climb five floors and park our rental car on the street. The owner spoke no English, and when we asked whether these problems would be fixed, we received vague promises that they would be repaired the next day. Past Google reviews, we later found, mentioned the same response for months. Things became much worse when we asked for someone who could communicate with us. Through a translator, we were told the room would no longer be rented to us because we were “too demanding” and “unhappy with the place.” The owner, Mrs. Valentina, refused to contact Booking and forced us out, then tried to send us to a more expensive hotel next door. When we went to see that hotel, she locked our original room with our belongings inside and wouldn’t reopen it. After a scene in the street and help from several kind strangers, we got our luggage back. Local residents said this was not the first similar incident at the property. The overall review average also suggests serious problems with the owner’s professionalism and preparation.
