Sofia, you were the best hostess ever, thank you! The hosts were warm, friendly, and so helpful, and the room was very clean and comfortable. From the room there’s an amazing sea view. The location worked well too, about a 10-minute walk to downtown. I loved staying here and would choose it again on my next trip to Sarande. I totally recommend it.

The room’s humidity was our main problem. We couldn’t get our clothes and swimsuits dry after sweating or getting them wet, unless the air conditioning was on. With it running things were okay, but the dampness was still an issue. We were there for three nights during a couple of very hot days, around 38 degrees. Hostel Andrey is in a quiet part of town, close to a supermarket, bars, and a kebab place, and walking to and from the public beach wasn’t too difficult. The owners are kind and helpful, and the prices are good all year round. I highly recommend it.

The hosts were great to talk with and even pointed us to a really tasty restaurant. They also kept our luggage free for a day while we spent a night in gjirokater. We stayed two nights in a room with a lovely view, though the toilet was in a separate room. The hostel has what you need, even if it’s a little old school. The kitchen was well equipped except for a cutting board. If the Wi-Fi gives you trouble, try another network with the same password. Ask the hosts if you need parking or anything else, they’re very helpful. The only downside was the steep road up, but we managed it. Great service and kind people running this place.

The owner and his wife were both kind and helpful, and the air conditioning worked perfectly. The price is very low, though the steep walk up the hill makes that clear. The shower pressure wasn’t great, and it took a while for the water to warm up.

The family who owns the hostel are great, so make a little time to chat with them. Our room was really clean and had a sea view. They call it the oldest hostel in Saranda, and the location is excellent: it’s only 581 steps to the city center. Yes, we counted! 😅🚶♀️🚶♂️
