Hotel Rixhi

I was deeply disappointed by how staff treated the stray dogs around the property. I saw them chase, yell at, and even kick the dogs to make them leave. The animals weren’t aggressive; they were just looking for shade, food, or a little kindness. It was upsetting to see such disregard for vulnerable animals. A hotel can choose to help its local environment or turn away from suffering, and this one chose cruelty. If animal welfare matters to you, I strongly advise against supporting a place that treats strays as nuisances instead of living beings who deserve dignity. I hope management rethinks its approach and takes steps to treat all life with respect.

Never go there. The way the dogs were treated says a lot about the kind of person you are. The bullying, arrogant behavior toward both the animals and the people caring for them was unacceptable. I hope nobody ever sets foot in your hotel again.

We were on an office leisure trip and had reserved five rooms with breakfast included, which we paid for in advance. Yet the next morning, breakfast was served to the other guests and not to us. When we asked, the owner said she hadn’t made breakfast for us and wasn’t willing to. Things had already gone downhill after our initially hospitable welcome. There was no toilet paper in any of our rooms, and the lights were out for three hours straight. The location was good, but the owner and staff were rude and unhelpful.

The rooms were super clean and had everything I needed, and the service was cozy and spectacular. The staff were so kind and friendly that they really made me feel at home. With a perfect location within walking distance of everywhere in Saranda, the stay went beyond my expectations.
