Being right on the seafront promenade was a real plus, with restaurants and the water close by. But the sea view room we booked at Hotel Kaonia looked onto another building, with hardly any sea visible, which was disappointing. There wasn't even a complimentary bottle of water waiting in the room when we arrived, which felt a bit careless for a tourist hotel. The location is hard to beat, but the room didn't deliver what was advertised and the welcome lacked a basic courtesy. Better rooms and a more thoughtful arrival could make this hotel much better.

Thank you, Hotel Kaonia! We loved the panoramic sea view and being just steps from the beach. The buffet breakfast was really nice, with plenty to eat, and the staff and management were friendly and respectful. The place was spotlessly clean.

We chose this place because the listing said it had baby cribs. When we asked for one, the receptionist said we could use the three adult beds in the room. I insisted, since a 9-month-old could fall off one, and he told us to put pillows along the sides because bringing the crib to our room would be too much work for him. There were no high chairs in the restaurant, so my daughter sat on my lap at breakfast throughout the stay. I had to wash both our clothes after every meal. The next day they gave us old beach towels and said to keep the dirty ones to use again the following day 😅 The location is perfect and the room is large, but it's very old and needs renovating. The staff weren't friendly or helpful. I'll never come back.

We had a relaxing stay in Saranda. The rooms were comfortable and clean, the staff were incredibly friendly, and the spot by the sea is perfect. Highly recommended!

Our room was very clean and the location was good, right by the beach. Breakfast was okay. The balcony, though, faced the back of the hotel, overlooking the parking lot and bins. Every morning at 5 am a garbage truck came to empty them.
