Hotel Portanova

I felt comfortable as soon as I arrived, thanks to the warm and inviting atmosphere. Hotel Portanova exceeded my expectations. The service was outstanding, with every staff member kind, professional and genuinely welcoming. The hotel was spotless throughout, and everything felt fresh and well cared for. One of the best hotel stays I’ve had. I highly recommend it.

The staff were kind throughout our stay. When we arrived drenched in sweat from the heat, they promptly gave us a complimentary bottle of water. The hotel is modern and sits on the outskirts of Sarande, though the beach strip and beaches are still within walking distance. Our room was clean and modern, with a comfortable bed and a large bathroom with a nice shower. It was cleaned daily. There was no minibar, but we appreciated having an empty fridge to stock with our own drinks and snacks. Breakfast was served from 8 to 10. It was a decent small continental spread: fried eggs, bacon, omelette, sausage, yogurt, juice, a sweet item, tomatoes, cucumber, and cheese and ham. The eggs were a bit too hard-fried for our taste. The restaurant area was clean, but we’d have preferred breakfast indoors, since the heat made much of the food lukewarm and a little soggy. Our only other gripe was the small balcony. The main view from our room was an old apartment complex, though we could see the sea. We think the front-facing balconies would have a stunning view. We’d recommend the hotel.

I’ll definitely return to Hotel Portanova. The staff welcomed me warmly, and their hospitality made the stay memorable. My room was comfortable, clean and well appointed. It was easy to get to the major attractions from the hotel, and whenever I had a request, it was taken care of quickly and with a smile. An excellent experience overall, thank you for the warm welcome.

My only issue was the price. The Booking price was different, and the hotel charged 30% more when we arrived, which felt unfair. The hotel itself was great: clean rooms, a delicious breakfast, free parking, a free beach included, and a location close to the beach.
