The pool area is nice and open, so you can watch your kids. The beach is close for bigger kids or medium-sized adults, and there’s a good platform for jumping into the sea. Just left of the sun deck is a really good snorkeling spot. It’s a clean place with nice staff and fine surroundings. There are good parking spaces for rental cars, and breakfast is fine. Recommended.

The staff were friendly, but I didn’t find the room fancy enough for the money or worthy of four stars. The bed, sofa, and chairs were all hard, not plush. The garden tub had a regular faucet and took 45 minutes to fill. Its spout was calcified with hard water. There was a stained floor, peeling paint, and rusty eyes. The elevator is small and hard to get to, and only goes up to the seventh floor, so you have to carry bags the rest of the way. The pools weren’t open, and the beach area was a mess with construction. None of the three restaurants were open during winter. That was part of why I chose a resort, but it’s not close to any other restaurants, so we had to drive anyway.

Breakfast was poor, with stale cornflakes and fruit tough enough to play cricket with. I won’t be back. Five stars? A joke. We had the misfortune of staying here for two nights during weddings that went on nonstop for 48 hours, with horribly loud pop music playing all day and all night. Management showed no thought for guests who weren’t attending. Staff were unhelpful and didn’t care. Be warned if you stay during wedding season.

We spent a blissful week at Santa Quaranta Premium Resort in Sarandë. The beachfront setting was dreamy, the resort felt welcoming, and the facilities were top-notch. Our spacious, peaceful room had lovely sea views. The beach bar sushi was a real highlight. It was vividly fresh, the rice was seasoned just right, and it was presented like little works of art. With gentle waves and attentive service, it made for a perfect moment by the sea. Great comfort, excellent sushi, and a tranquil feel. I’d highly recommend it to travelers who want to relax and enjoy good food.
