Titania Hotel

The one thing that brought this down to four stars was the room key. They wouldn’t give me a second one, so whenever I went out the power shut off, leaving the fridge and air conditioning off and devices unable to charge. Aside from that, I had a great stay in this modern, comfortable little hotel. My double room had a sea view and a good-sized balcony. The bed and pillows were comfortable, there were power outlets and USB ports beside the bed, and the room had a fridge and kettle. The bathroom was well equipped and had a good rain shower. Breakfast was excellent, with fresh food and omelettes on the sunny roof terrace. The hotel is two minutes from the ferry terminal and close to bars, shops, and restaurants, right above those striking turquoise waters. I didn’t swim during my one-day visit, but lots of people were enjoying the sea in the mid-October sun. The west-facing hotel gets sun all day and looks across to Corfu; to see the sunset, you need to go around the peninsula. You can sometimes hear noise from the promenade through the double-glazed windows, and the party boat cruising the harbor late at night was noisy enough to hear.

For what I paid, having the location, room, and breakfast included felt like a real bargain. Everything was an easy walk away, and the public beach was just a stone’s throw from the hotel. Breakfast was great, and I loved the view from the terrace. The reception and breakfast staff were always really friendly. My room even had a little balcony with a line for drying towels and swimsuits. I’d stay here again.

Getting luggage upstairs was a bit of a chore because there’s no elevator. The hotel itself was modern, very clean, and comfortable, with everything nearby, including the ferry port for Corfu.

The view from our room really took me by surprise. It was so good I caught my breath. The location is right at the edge of everything: the free public beach is less than a minute away, and Lost Seaside is about a 30-minute walk, with plenty to see and do along the way. Everyone on staff was helpful and friendly. Breakfast was amazing, with delicious homemade food, and they also make omelettes and fried eggs. The bathroom and shower were perfectly good, and everything was clean. There’s no elevator, but the receptionist helped us with our bags. We’ll probably come back!
