Urban Stay Hostel

For 10 euros a night when booking through the website, this place was incredible value. I’m a 19-year-old Australian backpacker traveling around Europe, and this has been one of the best hostel stays I’ve had so far. The beds were dark and super comfortable, there were plenty of modern bathrooms, and the large kitchen was extremely well equipped, with complimentary water. There was also a great common area with games and books. Everyone working there was kind and clearly committed to making guests’ stay as good as possible. The owner has built a high-quality business, and the staff have excellent work ethics. I can’t recommend Urban Stay Hostel enough!

The location was so convenient, around 300-400m down a straight road from the bus station, with lots of shops nearby, and about 600m from the beach. Staff kept the well-maintained facilities in good order all day. It’s a really well organized, possibly the cleanest hostel I’ve stayed in, and I felt safe in the neighborhood. Guests were pleasant and respectful, with a chilled vibe. The kitchen is new and fully equipped; there are separate gender bathrooms, hot showers, free laundry, coffee and water, and beds with privacy curtains. There are lots of thoughtful extras. A five-star stay, definitely the best hostel in sarande for me. I’d come back. 10/10, and thanks to the staff for a wonderful time.

There’s plenty of tourist information at the hostel, and the staff are happy to help you find things to do around Sarandë. The location is good, about 5-7 minutes from the beach and close to bus stations and other points of interest. I felt safe there, too, with the local police station nearby. The overall feel is clean, neat, and practical, and I definitely recommend it. The owner is kind and helpful, and the receptionist speaks really good English and Greek, as well as Albanian. The spacious new kitchen has everything you need to cook. Laundry is free during the day, the showers are a comfortable temperature, and the bathrooms are clean. Rooms are well organized and practical, and every one has working AC. :)

The host was friendly, the atmosphere felt warm, and the hostel is just minutes from the beach and promenade. It was spotless, with a fully equipped kitchen for making your own meals. There’s also a free washing machine, dryer, and detergent, which is so handy when you’re traveling. I loved my stay and would highly recommend it to anyone visiting Saranda! 💙
