Green Garden Hostel

The garden and the relaxed setting are the heart of this welcoming little hostel. Since it’s away from the main road, you can sit outside quietly, including on the terrace in the evening with the owners and other guests. Mikel and Irene were kind and very helpful. They arranged our trip to Valbona, took us to the bus in the morning, and let us leave our car at the property. The place also has a lovely animal-filled garden with Tia, their cats, and countless Turtles. We’d gladly return when we’re in the area again.

The property was wonderfully peaceful, with lots of small tortoises wandering around. Mikel and Irene were warm and welcoming, and I could rent their bikes to explore the city, which made getting around very pleasant.

After four months of traveling, this is the best hostel or guesthouse I’ve stayed in. The atmosphere is great, everyone is friendly, and the owners are incredibly helpful. Breakfast is included, bikes are available for getting around town, and organizing the Theth to Valbonë trip was easy here. I really couldn’t recommend it more.

You feel like part of the family as soon as you arrive. The place is also very pet friendly, with two sweet cats and a dog who are welcoming to guests. It’s a good location too, just a short bike ride from town, where there are plenty of places to eat and shop.
