The family running this lovely hostel were generous and happy to help when I had a broken foot. I stayed in one of their apartments, which was comfortable and had great AC. It’s well located, just a short walk from the centre of Shkodër. Good value, and a nice option for two or three people wanting a break from dorms. I’d recommend it to all kinds of travellers. The owners took such good personal care of us, sometimes bringing unexpected treats like fruit and drinks. Prices are very affordable and include housekeeping. Our room had all the amenities, including AC, WiFi, a private kitchen, and bathroom, and they also offer laundry service. We really enjoyed staying at Pemaj hostel and would definitely recommend it.

The people here are so sweet and helped us with a lot, even ordering food when we were tired. Breakfast was great. It’s on a quiet side street but close to the centre and Pedonale, with plenty of shops, cafes, and restaurants nearby. There are beautiful flowers and plants, so the place feels peaceful. The little bar and cafe out front has great coffee and friendly, quiet patrons. Market Koçeku just to the south is the best market in all of Shkodra. They also call a taxi for you, and the driver was lovely and drove really well. Honestly, there’s so much to like, you’ll have to see for yourself.

The rooms were clean and well kept, with private parking and a cozy garden out front. Breakfast was so good and generous that we usually saved the leftovers for lunch. The hosts were extremely helpful, booking local tours and making calls for us. Best hostel in Shkodër. I’ll come back!
